Welcome To Shiv Shakti Temple

   The Sanatan Shiv Shakti Mandir organization (S.S.S.M) was named so under the basic religion Sanatan Dharma (also called Hindu Dharma), Adi Dev Mahadev and Adya Shakti Maa Parvati. The SSSM was organized as non-profit entity under the guidance of founder-member Pandit Shri Virat K. Mehta and a board of trustees formed for this purpose. Tax-exempt status under section 501 (c) (3) was obtained from I.R.S. An executive committee was formed to look into the activities of the organization so as to ultimately construct a Temple for the vast Hindu community in greater Houston.

About Priests

   Sanatan Shiv Shakti Mandir of Houston has four Priest. Their primary responsibility is to conduct daily prayers (puja) at the temple. During Hindu festivals, traditional events such as weddings, the sacred thread ceremony, performance of last rites and special deity ceremonies, priests are called upon to conduct puja's either at the temple or at the location of the event. Free Virtual Tutoring

   Hello, We are launching The MIND Club to offer FREE tutoring services to students (Grades 1-12). The VIRTUAL TUTORING through Zoom is free and ensures the students’ safety. Tutoring starts in September 2020, and your child will be tutored by Rice University students. We will help your child with homework, getting ahead in subjects, and advise about career paths.
